BANGOR (NEWS CENTER) -- If you head down to the Kenduskeag Stream for a fall hike or bike ride you may notice some new signs along the trail.
Thanks to a $25,000 donation from L.L. Bean there are 13 new signs along the trail. Some of the signs talk about the wildlife that can be found along the stream, others talk about the relationship between the Kenduskeag Stream, Penobscot River and the city of Bangor. Carla Ritchie, from L.L. Bean in Bangor, says this is just the kind of project they were hoping to support when they opened their Bangor facility.
She says, "When we come into communities, we look for ways that we can support those communities, specifically tied to our outdoor heritage."
Ritchie also says, L.L. Bean hopes the new signs will encourage people to get out and experience the trails.
